The easy way to book a reliable London 'Man with a Van'

Can Movers Move Stuff From a Self Storage Unit?

So when it comes to moving your stuff in and out of a self storage unit, do Movers offer that service? That is the all important question we're going to be tackling today. So let's take a brief look, and as always (for those avid fans of our regular musings) let's break it down...

Rows of Self Storage Units

There are many reasons people choose to avail themselves of a self storage unit in London, and no two jobs are exactly the same when it comes to storage spaces.

It may be that you simply don't have enough storage space where you live, or perhaps you're going travelling, or maybe you're between moves and just need somewhere to keep all your stuff for a while. The possibilities are almost endless, hence the popularity of these handy little units.

So when it comes to moving that stuff in and out of the unit, do Movers offer that service?

Well to be fair, there's a lot to like about a storage unit job, regardless of whether it's going in or out; like easy parking, trolleys, big lifts and maybe even a coffee machine for those with a caffeine addiction, these are things the average Mover dreams about!

So yes, the answer is most Movers do move stuff from self storage and are usually happy to do so, especially on a weekday when the place is not too busy.

Things to consider when moving to a storage unit

Having established that Movers will generally take a job on of this nature, there's a couple of things to be aware of to ensure your plans go smoothly.

Firstly, if you have a lot of stuff make sure to pack the unit in a logical way that is going to make it easier to take it out when the time comes. That usually means the stackable stuff last (like the boxes) so they can go in the van first, if you get the idea.

And do make sure you use boxes, rather than just pile a tonne of loose stuff in there (no one likes seeing that when the unit doors are opened, least of all your Mover).

Also, if you want the Mover to go and get your stuff without you physically being there, then obviously make sure he has full access, with any codes and all the rest.

Other than that, it's usually all good.

Happy Moving!
